"But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."
Albert Einstein
We believe that all students possess the capacity to grow, learn, and apply the skills that will allow them to succeed in standardized tests. After years of working with students as they prepare for standardized tests in Korea, we believe we have the necessary experience and empathy to help students with their preparations. We will help them understand that the SAT® is not a measurement of their intelligence or their worth but merely a standardized test, which with the right tools, can be quite easy to crack.
Common belief amongst students is that they have to understand everything about a passage for the verbal section or know how to apply all these formulas and equations to do well in the math section. Truth be told, if you can do so, then yes, you will do well. However, what if you are incapable of doing so? Are you doomed to wallow in the muck? Not necessarily. At TestTakers, we believe that we can train students to find certain patterns in the questions and passages that will allow them to confidently choose the most logical and correct answers.
Standardized tests follow specific patterns that allow them to be graded with relative ease by computers. Questions ranging from easy to hard are seemingly placed in a random order, yet with the skills developed by TestTakers, students will be well versed in the subtle art of standardized test-taking and know which questions to leave for a later time, helping them get maximum points in the allocated time given. Along with traits like these, students will be taught how to "plug-in" answers to save time, as well as to learn how to unlock patterns in longer passages that will help them locate and analyze key information.
Our instructors are highly experienced and capable teachers who are extremely enthusiastic about helping students learn these critical skills. They are also passionate about leaving no student behind. We believe that every student progresses at their own speed and so we are prepared to do all that is necessary to help any individual student feel confident in his or her abilities. If that means taking the extra time to mentor students separately to boost their self esteem, then our teachers make it their professional, and even personal, duty to do so. Our instructors are extremely approachable and will always provide a comfortable and conducive environment for learning where students will never be afraid to ask questions, no matter how inconsequential it may seem.
